I agree that whiteness itself is the man’s burden, and like how this distinction draws attention to how gender and race intersect. I wonder how the white man’s burden relates to white privilege… it’s like being privileged creates material realities that further justify feelings of white superiority and make it easier for white folks to perform dominance.
